Aims of Beeline Nursery

As temperatures climb globally, water tables drop, chronic diseases from chemical poisoning increase, and extreme weather events become the norm – it’s time to take action!

Although I have been researching, preparing, and talking about this project for a while – probably over a decade now – it’s only now that it’s looking more like a necessity than an option.

Like millions of others, I have decided we cannot sit and watch the planet burn but have to take positive steps to improve our ecosystems, protect human and wildlife health, and tackle global warming.

I aim to regeneratively grow trees and plants – to plug the current annual shortfall of over 3 billion tree seedlings – without further damaging the planet by using fossil fuel-based fertilizers, chemicals, and plastic products.

About Me

Parm Kaur, Founder

I have had small backyard gardens since I was a child – growing everything from vegetables to roses, soft fruits to ornamental trees. I started volunteering on organic farms through the WOOF program in 2010 and became really excited about the possibilities of organic and regenerative farming.

Since then I have studied permaculture, and taken Nursery Management courses. I have continued to experiment with different growing methods and plant varieties of vegetables, trees, fruit, and flowers in my tiny backyard. It’s time to expand!
As a poet, project manager, content manager and coach in my official “work” life poring over blank pieces of paper to create something new is not unusual. However, my previous independent projects have involved smaller financial risks, and have been supported by Foundations and Public organizations.

Fundraising Stages

Although the impact of over 1 million trees a year may still be considered small – on a landscape level, it’s still significant.

Setting up a new Plant and Tree Nursery with minimal damage to the environment does cost more initially, although running costs are significantly less, as over time, sustainable energy and water conservation measures will pay dividends.

Finally, the Business Plan is complete and whilst continuing to look for Business Angels and Eco Investors, I have started this fundraiser. Getting a loan is impossible at present, so I hope you can support this startup.
